Slovenian literary works on
music and theater stage

The author brought to the fore the question of the influence of Slovenian literature
to musical theater works: opera, operetta and ballet.

At the beginning, the author provides the reader with statistical data, points out the issue of the libretto and points out the lack of interest of Slovenian musicology in this type of issue.

The central part is a chronological overview of the literary works that the composers used as the basis for the stage works. It is especially valuable that the writer also mentions those musical works that have not yet been performed.

The latest publication of dr. Henrik Neubauer is a great achievement in Slovenian professional literature and an incentive for further research.

Character dances

Personally, I think that among his many books, this booklet "Character Dances - Dances of European Nations on the Theater Stage" is, in addition to 'a lot of effort', also his personal success. Such a precise breakdown of each movement and step is understandable for anyone who wants to get acquainted with the dances of different nations and is worthy of great respect and praise...

The latest publication of dr. Henrik Neubauer is a nice acquisition for everyone who uses these dances and wants to learn more about them.

Memoirs of a Ballerina

Lidija Sotlar's autobiographical book contains almost 60-year
monitoring of Slovenian and especially Ljubljana theater and
ballet life through the prism of the first dancer from Ljubljana
of the ballet ensemble, richly illustrated with photographs, comprising
the period from 1944 to 2001. This is also the first book of personal memories of a top ballet re-enactor, who with her artistic work had a significant impact on half a century of ballet history in our country.
In addition to personal experiences, the book describes choreographers, teachers,
ballet dancers and other opera and drama artists.
Through her life as a couple with her husband Bert, one of
of the most important Slovenian film and drama actors,
in the book, our and most foreign films are also insightfully described
artists who either worked here or whom Bert Sotlar met while working abroad.  Her writing is characterized by exceptional
objectivity and truthfulness.

Faces of Slovenian ballet

This book is a dedication and memory to all ballet dancers who, with their knowledge and self-sacrificing work, helped to strengthen the position of ballet art in Slovenia, a memory to those who still work with the same goal, as well as those who, unfortunately, he is no longer with us.
